In liposomal supplements, the active ingredient is encapsulated in liposomes.
Liposomes, consisting of small fat bubbles, effectively protect the nutrient and transport it through the intestinal wall.
The liposomal shield protects the transported substances from the body's own enzymes in the digestive tract and also from gastric acid.
 
How are they made?
ActiNovo sues 96% pure phospholipids of plant origin as the basic building blocks for their liposomes. We obtain these from European GMO-free sunflower seeds. This corresponds to the highest degree of purity available on the market.
To produce the liposomes, they use ultrasound as a gentle energy source. At this stage of creation, the active ingredients can be enclosed by the liposomes and thus safely stored within them.
By supplying a special kind of energy, the phospholipids arrange themselves in the formation of double membranes, which is similar to the human cell membrane. The liposomes are surrounded by an aqueous solution. 
The fat-loving heads of the phospholipids are directed inwards, and the water-loving heads are directed outwards towards the surrounding water solution.

Are the products vegan?
All Actinovo products are vegan and of plant origin! They contain neither dairy products nor gluten. They consist only of sunflower-derived phospholipids, water and the respective active ingredient.
 
What color should the liquid in the bottle be?
The products have a brownish color. Depending on the active ingredient, this color may change slightly. It is possible that small dark films form on the surface and at the bottom of the bottle. These are completely harmless and limit neither their quality nor effectiveness. Just shake the bottle before intake.
 
Why are the products not available in a higher concentration?
The entire functional principle of liposomal formulations is based on the fact that the active ingredient is masked, i.e. made invisible, by the phospholipids. The small intestine thus sees only the phospholipids and absorbs them with the active ingredient hidden in them. However, if the ratio between active substance and phospholipids is out of balance and the proportion of active substance is too high, this again becomes visible to the small intestine and the liposomal functional principle fails. Many companies ignore this principle which defeats the whole purpose of liposomal supplements.
