Why is the origin of chlorella so important?
Most chlorella is grown in outdoor ponds in Asia. When it rains, significant amounts of pollution often end up in the ponds. As chlorella bioaccumulates contaminants, outdoor pond-grown chlorella often contains significant pollutants. In addition, much of the surface water used in the ponds contains contaminants from the local environment.
Chlorella should be grown indoors in glass tubes, using only sunshine and water extracted from deep underground.

Yes, their algae products are all vegan. Their company does not use any animal products.
